Hi, I’m Katelynn Zuzolo.
I’ve always believed that Youngstown is a city of builders. But for too long, the women building our local economy, our nonprofits, and our creative spaces have been doing it in isolation. I founded The KZ Network to change that narrative. I wanted to create the room I never found: a curated space where the ambitious women of the Steel Valley could lower their guard, exchange ideas, and elevate one another.
From Crisis to Community
My journey to building this network wasn't just shaped by professional ambition, but by a personal battle that changed my perspective on everything. As a breast cancer survivor, I learned a truth that no textbook could teach: no matter how strong we are individually, we are not meant to carry the weight of the world alone.
Navigating a diagnosis and recovery taught me that support isn't a luxury; it’s a necessity for survival—and for thriving. I realized that if the right community can sustain you through your darkest personal moments, it can also be the catalyst for your greatest professional breakthroughs.
The Strategy of Connection
I spent six years in the private banking and crisis management sectors of the finance industry. In that world, success is built on precision, foresight, and knowing exactly who to call when the stakes are highest. I’ve seen firsthand how the right connections can mitigate a crisis and how a strategic network can create generational wealth.
I am taking that high-level expertise and applying it to our community. The KZ Network isn’t just a social club; it’s a strategic ecosystem. We’ve traded gatekeeping for community and competition for conversation.
The Commitment
This network is my commitment to the future of Youngstown. We are here to ensure that when one woman in the Steel Valley succeeds, she leaves the door open for the next.
Whether you are a seasoned executive, a founder in the thick of a launch, or a creative looking for a fresh perspective, there is a seat for you at this table.
Let’s redefine what it means to lead.
